Cell phones are creating competition between all types of people. They are creating competition between the producers and the consumers. They are also creating more production because of homelessness. Since cell phones are a must have this means that people MUST purchase them, boosting the jobs surrounding cell phones, unless you are homeless, you do not have to purchase them but you MUST still have one.
The guy in this video obviously is very against the fact that people on welfare can receive free cell phones and minuets. He does not like that he pays so much for his cell phone while the government will give away free cells phones to those in need. He is very biased and is not being thankful for what he has, some homeless people have no control over their current lifestyle.
However, what he is not thinking about is how this proves that our society is changing. Cell phones are thought of as a major need for survival. It has been placed alongside food stamps for a necessity in life. This really goes to show how cell phones have changed our society in ways we would never image. It is a good thing that they are giving away free cell phones because homeless people can get hurt or be in danger as well and will need to call for help. The government has seen this change in life, the change that is calling everyone to be glues to their cell phones. This change is life altering as we can see in the video above.

Pro's on Cell Phone Use
There are many controversal topics regarding cell phone usage. Some people say it give you cancer by having the cell phone by your head all day long. There have been many studies done to see if this is true. Here is the results from one study, "If cell phones were causing cancer we could expect a rise in the rate of brain and other related cancers. However, according to the National Cancer Institute, there has been no increase in the incidence of brain or other nervous system cancers between the years 1987 and 2005 despite the fact that cell phone use has dramatically increased during those same years."
Cell phones bring a sense of safety to everyone. I know that I can't ever be without my cell phone. If I walk somewhere alone I always have it in my pocket in case of an emergency. It is stated in Cell Phone's ProsandCons.org, "Cell phones increase personal safety by providing an easy means of contacting others during an emergency. According to an American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) poll, 56% of people over the age of 65 cite safety as a reason they have a cell phone."
As you can see, this video really puts emphases on how improtant it is that everyone has a cell phone and installs the right media on it. Cell phone are saving lives as we speak. Without cell phones it would be hard to alert the police of emergencies while out and about. Everyone should have a cell phone for these safety reasons because you never know when you might be in an emergency.

Tracking Kids
Kids of all ages have cell phones. Not only that but most kids know how to use them way better then their parents. My mom has a nicer phone then me, the latest iphone, however I still have to help her use it and show her where things are. Since kids are being raised with cell phones, things related to technology are easy for them. It has become common sense for all kids to be able to handle any type of cell phone.
More importantly it is good that kids have cell phone so they are able to contact their parents when needed. When I grew up, I remember having to wait for my mom to come pick me up from dance or a friends house. It is so much easier to send your parents a quick text about where you are and when they will come pick you up.
Cell phones have evolved to have a tracking device inside them. This is helpful for the parents in case their kids are not anwsering there phones. Parents no longer have to bug their kids about their whereaboouts or wait for a check in phone call. If the kid is traveling in the car, the gps tracker will also tell you the speed and direction of the phone. This is all done by going onto a website that tracks the phone.

How has the cell phone changed your life?
As seen in this video, cell phones have changed peoples lives for the better. They are able to communicate on the go and talk with friends and family from far away. As it states in this video, cell phones are not invaded respectful rules. People know not to use cell phones at the dinner table or in church. Cell phone users know when it is okay to use them and when it is not okay.
Cell phones have even created an easier faster language. There are abbreviations for all sorts of words and word phases. Some such as the word, 'you', being texted as 'u' are obvious. Harder abbreviations to some people would be lylas= love you like a sister, g2g = got to go, brb = be right back, hbu = how about you, lol = laughing out loud. These abbreviations are acceptable to use over texting but are a language not acceptable to write out anywhere else or even over email. Everyone knows this rule if they text on a cell phone.
As stated in the video clip above, cell phones are not the reason for most car crashes. The media just wants to find something to blame the crashes on and so having a cell phone out is easy. No one ever publishes that the driver was looking at themselves in the mirror or day dreaming and got in a crash. These are of course things that are harder to prove. However, any distraction will cause car accidents, we will have accidents with or without cell phones. They shouldn't be banned while driving because then you would have to blame the mirrors or the beautiful distracting tree also and ban them.

Society Changing by Cellular Devices
No one uses the term cellular device anymore because it is outdated. The term for this electronic device has changed to cell phone. The cell phone has been remolded every year to set the stage for the future and no one wants to be caught with an outdated model. So instead society invests money to keep up with the "in" cell phone, as they should. The video below shows how cell phones have progressed over time.
Cell phones are shaping our society in many ways. They keep people in the loop and help everyone stay technological savvy. In an article by, Dr Antony Palackal, he states some of the advancements he says has enhanced our social structure, "The enhancements that provide the evidence for this claim are largely based on characteristics of the technology: micro-coordination of schedules made possible by the ability to communicate while moving; establishment of new businesses that provide mobile technology; use of new surveillance capabilities embedded in cell phones equipped with GIS; cultural innovations (sex, entertainment, news feeds); the potential for rapid political mobilization."
Cell phones are only making our lives easier everyday and every second. We no longer have to hand write letters or walk down the street to talk to a friend. You can be anywhere in the world and still communicate with your friends and family who are far away. This is a great tool that has helped people to connect and stay connected throughout life. Without cell phones we would not be nearly as social as we are today.
