Society Changing by Cellular Devices

No one uses the term cellular device anymore because it is outdated. The term for this electronic device has changed to cell phone. The cell phone has been remolded every year to set the stage for the future and no one wants to be caught with an outdated model. So instead society invests money to keep up with the "in" cell phone, as they should. The video below shows how cell phones have progressed over time.

Cell phones are shaping our society in many ways. They keep people in the loop and help everyone stay technological savvy. In an article by, Dr Antony Palackal, he states some of the advancements he says has enhanced our social structure, "The enhancements that provide the evidence for this claim are largely based on characteristics of the technology: micro-coordination of schedules made possible by the ability to communicate while moving; establishment of new businesses that provide mobile technology; use of new surveillance capabilities embedded in cell phones equipped with GIS; cultural innovations (sex, entertainment, news feeds); the potential for rapid political mobilization."

Cell phones are only making our lives easier everyday and every second. We no longer have to hand write letters or walk down the street to talk to a friend. You can be anywhere in the world and still communicate with your friends and family who are far away. This is a great tool that has helped people to connect and stay connected throughout life. Without cell phones we would not be nearly as social as we are today.

  1. I found this video very interesting, i never thought about how much things change over time. And I think this video does a great job showing that what we expect out of phones now has changed a lot too.I remember when my mom had a plug in cell phone and now we all have smartphones. That to me is just crazy.
